Next up for Keegan Theatre’s new island project is Stones in His Pockets, a play by Marie Jones.  Stones in His Pockets is set in a rural town in County Kerry, Ireland, that is overrun by a Hollywood film crew. The story centers on Charlie Conlon and Jake Quinn, who, like much of the town, are employed as extras for the filming.  Like new island’s acclaimed production of Mojo Mickybo, Stones in His Pockets calls upon its two actors to play all the characters in the play.  At turns hilarious and touching, much of the comedy of the play is derived from the efforts of the production crew to create the proper "Irish feel," a romanticized notion that often conflicts with the reality of daily life.  Eric Lucas and Matthew Keenan star in what promises to be an evening to remember.
