    After-school Classes with Keegan PLAY-RAH-KA at School Without Walls at Francis Stevens include imaginative games and activities and offer valuable peer engagement on a creative level.

    DETAILS: Fall sessions start the week of September 25 and end the week of December 15.  (No class on October 9 or November 23.) Classes run 3:15-4:15 pm.   Students should bring a snack to eat before the session.  There will be a showcase on the final class at 4:15 pm.

    MONDAY CLASSES

     6th-8th Grade
    Bright Stars inspires teenagers to explore and share their authentic voice through improvisation, music, movement, and spoken word in collaboration with professional theatre artists.

    TUESDAY CLASSES
    Ages:
     3rd – 5th grades
    Let’s Create!  Emerging artists explore themselves and the world they live in through improvisation, storytelling, spoken word and creative writing, movement, and music.  This student-centered program is designed to teach emerging artists performance and playwriting skills as they create their own devised theatrical performance.

    WEDNESDAY CLASSES

    Pre-K
    Let’s Play!  A playful program in which our youngest artists play and interact with their favorite stories through dramatic play, creative movement, games, and visual arts.  Participants begin to play with ways in which the stories connect to their own lives.

    THURSDAY CLASSES
    Ages: 
    K – 2nd grades
    Let’s Imagine!  Imagine bringing your favorite childhood stories to life!  In this imaginative program, young people bring their favorite stories to life through role playing, improvisation, dramatic play, creative movement, visual arts, and journaling.  Artists are encouraged to connect the themes of the stories to their own experiences.
