Terrance Fleming (Will Shakespeare) is from Mobile, AL. If you listen closely, you’ll be able to tell. After graduating from Murphy High School, he furthered his education at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM). There, he received his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in acting. Terrance has been in Baltimore since 2016. During his time in the DMV, he’s had the privilege to collaborate with many different theatres and many talented artists. Some of those collaborations include Twelfth Night and Richard ll (Her Majesty and Sons), Aida the Musical and The Wiz (Artscentric Theatre), Henry V, Macbeth, Alice in Wonderland, and Dracula (Chesapeake Shakespeare Company), Hamlet (Baltimore Shakespeare Factory) and Jerusalem (Fells Point Corner Theatre). Terrance was an athlete, prior to becoming an actor. He still finds ways to maintain that part of him. Working out and flag football are his go-tos. Terrance is honored to be working with this great company, as well as collaborating to bring their vision to life.

Duane Richards II (Kit Marlowe), a graduate of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Hampton University, and Full Sail University's MFA program, is an actor, writer, and director. As an actor, Duane was last seen in Brave Spirits Theatre's Histories project, playing various Shakespearean roles, and as a director, Duane directed the virtual remount of the Helen Hayes-nominated "From Gumbo to Mumbo" at the Keegan Theatre. Currently, Duane is teaching middle school drama for Prince George's County Public Schools and developing his first original musical "Manifesto: The Rebirth of Adam."

Patrick Casimir (Robin/Frees/Heavy 1/Dance Captain) has always had a love for the performing arts. At The Florida State University, Patrick directed a multicultural dance company which created evening length productions touring throughout Florida. Upon finishing his degree at The Florida State University, Patrick moved to Orlando where he earned a Masters in Business Administration. While performing for venues such as Universal Studios and Disney, Patrick obtained a degree in Dance Studies at the University of South Florida. He continued training throughout the United States with companies such as Deeply Rooted Dance Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Arch Dance Orlando Ballet, and Washington Ballet. Patrick has been a resident teacher/choreographer in the DMV area teaching at various institutions such as Starmakers Academy of Dance, Princess Mhoon Dance Institute, Bishop McNamara High School, and a variety of other schools and programs throughout the United States. Patrick toured with the "The Marvin Gaye Project" under the direction of Vincent Thomas and now is a resident artist with ArtsCentric, performing in various shows such as Little Shop of Horrors, Chicago, and Aida, while also performing in venues such as the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts and Joe's Movement Emporium.

Douglas Dubois (Co-Director & Dance Choreographer) is a Writer, Producer and Actor/Director, who prides greatly in works that empower underrepresented communities. He has directed The Word From Kampala (The Flea Theatre, New York City, 2022), Good People (Assistant Director, Keegan Theatre, 2021), The Surrogate (Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab, New York, 2019). In 2020, he Co-Directed his play DALLIANCES, which screened at the International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2020) and was produced by the Missouri Theatre Department for their Mizzou New Play Series (2021). Starting off as a performer with international repertoire in East Africa, the UK, and United States, Douglas Dubois has taken on roles as Ben (First Chair, Keegan Theatre, WOMXN on Fire Festival, 2020), Nelson (Strings, Kampala International Theatre Festival, 2017), Jedediah Schultz/Aaron McKinney/Russel Henderson/Mormon Minister (Laramie Project, Alliance Francaise Kampala, 2016), Claudio (Much Ado About Nothing, 2014) directed by Lefoule UK, and Danny Zuko (Grease, 2013) at Uganda National Theatre among others. He uses theatre as a tool for advocacy and development communication, exploring identity, gender equality, sexuality, black pride and Pan-Africanism. His works reimagine the black experience challenging slavery and racism, and reclaiming African culture and heritage in narratives where Black humanity has been previously eroded. Matthew J. Keenan (Set Designer/Master Carpenter) was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland and is a graduate from the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin. Matthew began working with Keegan as an actor and in 2015 became the company’s resident scenic designer. He’s also a company member with the Classical Theatre Company in Houston, TX. As well as being the resident scenic designer, and an actor, Matthew is also the playwright of Keegan’s holiday tradition; An Irish Carol. Cresent Haynes (Sound Designer) In 2012, Cresent received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Arts Technology, with a focus in Sound Design. In 2014, she received her first theatre review for her work as Sound Designer on the production Not About Nightingales directed by Eric Ruffin, describing her sound design as “an omniscient, foreboding force, ambitious in scope…” Since then, her credits include: BLKS, A Strange Loop (Woolly Mammoth Theater), Show Way, HER-story (Kennedy Center), Fabulation (Mosaic Theater Company), The Laramie Project (Duke Ellington School of the Arts), N (Keegan Theatre), Use All Available Doors (Pinky Swear Productions), Hope in the Hood (Amazing Grace Conservatory) and more. Elizabeth Morton (Costume Designer) is a DC-based costume designer and wardrobe technician. Previous design credits include Othello (Taffety Punk Theatre Company); Carrie: The Musical, Shared Space, The Crucible, and Hamlet (American University); and A Comedy of Tenors (Olney Theatre Center, assistant). Selected wardrobe credits include A Thousand Splendid Suns (Arena Stage); Mary Stuart, Oil, Labour of Love, South Pacific, and Matilda (Olney Theatre Center). Tiesha Cooper (Hair/Makeup Designer) aims to follow one universal rule: to make clients look fresh and flawless. This aim is achieved by specializing in all textures of hair for over 20 years. A versatile artist skilled in making custom wigs is also capable of flawless installs. A makeup artist with experience in the areas of makeup education and product consultation with completed studies at Paul Mitchell. Tiesha is looking forward to gaining more experience in the theatre and expanding her skill set. Tiesha is also the owner and creator of DC’s Daughter; a brand that specializes in utilizing local produce to create unique flavors and experiences.

Sarah Nichols (Dialect Coach) is a second-generation Cuban American voice, accent, and communication coach and performer from Orlando, Florida. Since receiving a BFA in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2014, she has performed on tour with TheatreworksUSA and on Royal Caribbean’s Majesty of the Seas. In 2020, Sarah completed an MFA in Voice Studies at The Royal Central School of Speech in Drama in London. She has taught voice and dialect acquisition classes at Virginia Commonwealth University, East 15 Acting School, Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance, and the American University in Cairo. An active member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA), Sarah has had her writing published twice in the Voice and Speech Review, VASTA’s academic journal. Currently based in Washington, DC, Sarah is a voiceover artist for TheSoul Publishing, Diaghilev, and Voice Talent Online. Gabrielle Busch (Co-Stage Manager) graduated from High Point University with a B.A. in performance theatre. While at High Point, Gabrielle was involved with stage managing, acting, and directing. Coming back to her hometown of D.C. she has her sights set high on getting involved in the theatre community as much as she can. Some projects that she has worked on at Keegan include Good People (ASM), N (Stage Manager), Yoga Play (Stage Manager).

Kate Goldberg (Assistant Stage Manager) is a rising junior at Kenyon College where she is a double major in drama and psychology. This is her first show at Keegan, and she is excited to be a part of this great team!
Lee Hall is an English playwright, television writer, screenwriter, and lyricist. He is best known for writing the 2000 film Billy Elliot and the book and lyrics for its stage musical adaptation, as well as the 2019 film Rocketman and 2007 play The Pitmen Painters.
Hall has been the recipient of many awards for all aspects of his work. He won the Alfred Bradley Bursary and the Richard Imison Prize with his first play for radio, I Luv You Jimmy Spud, which he adapted for the screen as Gabriel and Me and which premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival. His career stemmed from seeing the film Kes, which inspired him to try his hand at writing and led to him spending some time as Pearson Writer in Residence for the Royal Shakespeare Company. He received a Writers Guild and Talkie Award in 1997 for Spoonface Steinberg, one of his God's Country series of plays for BBC Radio which was then adapted for television. His first screenplay for a feature film was Billy Elliot which was nominated for a Best Original Screenplay Oscar.
Two-time Academy Award winning writer-producer Marc Norman was born on February 10, 1941 in East Hollywood, California. He attended L.A. public schools and travelled north to Berkeley and the University of California in 1958, graduating in 1964 with a M.A. in English Literature.
Norman first envisioned the idea for SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE in 1987 while working with director Ed Zwick ("Glory"). His idea was to portray a young William Shakespeare as a struggling writer working to create his first truly great play, "Romeo and Juliet." Before then, Shakespeare had written several plays and poems, but it wasn't until "Romeo and Juliet" that he was recognized as the preeminent playwright of his time. In addition to the two Oscars, SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE earned Marc two Golden Globes, a Writer's Guild Award, a Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival and Best Screenplay awards at the Broadcast Film Critics Awards, the New York and Chicago Film Critics Society.
Tom Stoppard’s most recent play, The Hard Problem, opened at the National Theatre in 2015. He wrote his first play, Enter a Free Man, whilst working as a journalist in Bristol. His plays include Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead, The Real Inspector Hound, After Magritte, Jumpers, Travesties, Every Good Boy Deserves Favour (a play for actors and orchestra written with André Previn), Night and Day, The Real Thing, Hapgood, Arcadia, Indian Ink, The Invention Of Love, The Coast Of Utopia, Rock’n’Roll, Dogg’s Our Pett, New-Found Land, Dogg’s Hamlet and Cahoot’s Macbeth. Adaptations include Tango, Undiscovered Country, On The Razzle, Rough Crossing and Dalliance. Translations include The Seagull, Henry IV, Ivanov, The Cherry Orchard, The House Of Bernarda Alba and Largo Desolato. He has written eight Evening Standard Award-winning plays and five of his plays have won Tony Awards.
Radio plays include Darkside (set to Pink Floyd’s album The Dark Side of the Moon), On ‘Dover Beach’, If You’re Glad, I’ll Be Frank, Albert’s Bridge (Italia Prize Winner), M Is For Moon Among Other Things, The Dissolution Of Dominic Boot, Where Are They Now?, Artist Descending A Staircase, The Dog It Was That Died and In The Native State. Television adaptations include Parades End (BBC/HBO), A Walk On The Water (from Enter A Free Man), Three Men In A Boat and The Dog It Was That Died. Original television screenplays include Another Moon Called Earth, A Separate Peace, Neutral Ground, Teeth and Professional Foul, which won awards from BAFTA, the Broadcasting Press Guild and Squaring The Circle. He adapted his television dramatisation of Jerome K Jerome’s Three Men in a Boat for BBC Radio.
Screenplays include Anna Karenina, Despair, The Romantic Englishwoman, The Human Factor, Brazil, Empire Of The Sun, The Russia House, Billy Bathgate, Poodle Springs, and Shakespeare In Love (with Marc Norman), which won him an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, a Golden Globe and the Broadcast Film Critics and American Guild Awards for Best Screenplay 1998. He directed and wrote the screenplay for the film of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, which won the Prix d’Or at the Venice Film Festival 1990 for Best Film.
