Start your evening in Dupont Circle at Keegan Theatre’s historic venue to meet new people, mingle with friends, and enjoy award-winning live theater. Patrons under 30 years old are invited to purchase discounted Happy Hour tickets, which include 1 pre-show drink, exclusive access to our mezzanine for socializing, and a seat for the evening’s performance.
Parents are invited to join us for the matinee performance and register their Pre-K to 5th grade children for onsite child care with Keegan PLAY-RAH-KA Teaching Artists during the show! Registration is only $20 with sibling discounts for multiple children. This special initiative is all part of Keegan’s mission to make our live theater experiences as accessible as possible.

GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES doesn’t shy away from discussing life’s toughest moments, touching on subjects like mental health, the grief process, and what happens when you’ve simply been dealt a rough hand in life. But how might the story look different if Doug and Kayleen had access to thoughtful community care? After the August 30 matinee, we’ve invited leaders from our community to share about their work and offer ways we can better show up for DC! Whether that’s gathering pointers on difficult conversations, learning more about a population of people you don’t usually interact with, or finding volunteer opportunities with one of the organizations represented, our audience is sure to walk away with a better understanding of how we can best get through life — TOGETHER!
