Join us for an entertaining evening of casino games, food, music, and prizes at The Keegan Theatre’s 2022 Gala: Monte Carlo Night! Our largest fundraising event of the year, this is your chance to support your favorite neighborhood theater and our award-winning productions, growing education program, and initiatives that champion new work and emerging artists.
Come for a social evening with the Keegan community to enjoy live musical entertainment, including cabaret-style performances from Keegan favorites, as well as to play (and learn!) blackjack, poker, roulette, and craps. Tickets for the event start at $125 and come with $10,000 in Keegan Cash to play the tables. WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE? Creative black tie! We are a theater after all so we encourage you to make your black tie ensemble playful.
I'VE PURCHASED A SPONSORSHIP, NOW WHAT? Our Development Manager will be in touch to confirm which gaming table you prefer to sponsor. Choices are subject to availability and selections will be honored on a first come, first serve basis. We will also confirm the number of guests you will be bringing.
WILL DINNER BE SERVED? While there will not be a seated dinner, passed hor d’oeurves and reception stations will be available throughout the evening.
I HAVE A DIETARY RESTRICTION. WHAT SHOULD I DO? All menu items will be labelled accordingly and staff members on site will be able to direct you accordingly. For more dietary information, please check the Gala Menu link posted under the event description above.
HOW DO I SHOW MY TICKET FOR THE EVENT? There is no need to provide a ticket of any kind at the event. Simply give the name that you purchased the ticket(s) under at the door and you will be admitted.
WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO GET TO THE VENUE? We encourage you to use public transit or rideshares (Uber, Lyft, taxi) if you will be partaking in a libation or two throughout the evening. The closest Metro stop is Brookland and the venue is approximately 3/4 of a mile from there. There are several parking lots on site should you wish to drive.
HOW DO I LEARN TO PLAY EACH CASINO GAME? All dealers will be happy to teach new players during the event. You can also check out our Monte Carlo Party House Rules, linked above under the event description, for instructions prior to the event.
WHAT IF I LOSE ALL MY CHIPS AT THE TABLE? Have no fear! Additional gambling chips will be available for purchase at the event to continue playing. For an additional donation of $25 you will receive $10,000 in Keegan Cash, $50 for $20,000 Keegan Cash, or $100 for $50,000 Keegan Cash. Cash in your chips/Keegan Cash for raffle tickets ($10,000 = 1 raffle ticket) to use for the chance to win prizes throughout the evening. All additional chips purchased benefit The Keegan Theatre.

NIKKI HOFFPAUIR acts as General Counsel for The Keegan Theatre where she has advised on the acquisition of their theatre, construction loan documentation, and zoning issues, as well as general corporate and nonprofit matters, all on a pro bono basis. A graduate of Georgetown University and University of Texas School of Law, Ms. Hoffpauir is Partner at Krooth & Altman where she has worked for over 18 years. Ms. Hoffpauir focuses her practice on the representation of mortgage lenders in a variety of commercial real estate financing transactions under various governmental programs. Keegan is excited to honor Nikki’s years of service and dedication to the theater at this event.
