Keegan Accepted Into Extended Bloomberg Program and Catalogue for Philanthropy
The Keegan Theatre is pleased to announce its acceptance into a pair of highly selective programs, the extended Arts Innovation and Management (AIM) program, supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies and the DeVos Institute of Arts Management, and the 2020-21 class of the Greater Washington Catalogue for Philanthropy.
The extended AIM program is a continued and amplified version of the Bloomberg-DeVos program that Keegan was selected for in August of 2018. It is designed to assist with the development of long-term strategies, including providing support in strategic planning and in the expansion of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives, but will also concentrate on short-term planning, like considering how to ensure short-term viability and how to maintain or gain support as the sector rebounds from the COVD-19 crisis.
Keegan’s acceptance into the Catalogue for Philanthropy’s 2020-21 class of nonprofits supports the company in the area of philanthropic giving. With this selection, the Catalogue recognizes Keegan as one of the best local nonprofits in the Greater Washington region. It will feature Keegan in both online and print catalogues, which will be distributed to households throughout the metropolitan Washington region.
About the Catalogue for Philanthropy
“The Catalogue for Philanthropy is Greater Washington’s only locally-focused guide to giving and volunteering. We believe in the power of small nonprofits to spark big change. Our goal is to create visibility for our charities, fuel their growth with philanthropic dollars, and create a movement for social good in our region.
“Since 2003, the Catalogue has raised more than $40 million for our network of vetted charities. Every nonprofit in our network is evaluated for excellence by a team of over 120 local experts. They assess each organization for impact, community need and financial transparency.
“We highlight the best local charities, and their work, to show what is possible when caring citizens connect with worthy causes, acting together on behalf of the greater good. Our vision is a stronger, more resilient community, here, where we live.”
